Our Family

Güzelgöz family was let well known in this region before the beginning of the touristical and commercial activities. Mustafa Güzelgöz, the father of the actual "Le Bazaar d'Orient" 's owner received the price of the best librarian of the year delivered by J.F. Kennedy in 1963. He transported books in all the villages of the district with donkeys and mules. After he obtained the creation of real libraries by the government of Ankara, he incited the villagers to come by installing sewing machines there and organising the first films projections.

His childs chose the professions of tourism (museum direction, antiquities or carpet shop, tourism information and school…) and worked for the development of their region they wanted to be appreciated all over the world.

It is why the youngest one, Aziz, is at the origin of the cultural exchanges with the Greek town of Larissa while his brother Murat plays "saz" (traditional Turkish folkloric instrument) in concert in France. He is always glad to play in his shop for the customers who are interested.
